What is a Million Dollar Facial?

Perhaps you've seen celebrities endorsing the Million Dollar Facial and want to know what it's all about. Maybe you've never heard of it, but it sounds intriguing, right?

Here at Bloom Beauty, Hair & Education, in Tattenhoe, Milton Keynes, we wanted to offer facials that really gave clients the results they wanted. We wanted to be able to set our clients on skin journeys to transform their skin.

The Million Dollar brand is taking the industry by storm with their range of protocols and clinically evidenced, active cosmeceuticals. The brand consistently meets the needs of the market by introducing products with key ingredients filling every gap to allow a comprehensive skincare system for everyone.

Based in Liverpool, with a keen stance towards largely vegan values, the brand is transparent and overwhelmingly supportive to their clients. It's easy to see why bringing this brand into our salon was a 'no brainer'.

So, we know why we love it, but what can it do for you?

Any facialist will tell you that they see a variety of different skins but most clients have one thing in common. They want to improve the skin they have. Whether that's a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, more hydrated skin, calming acne or improving signs of pigmentation. The Million Dollar Facial can target them all.

Whilst the Million Dollar Facial System has a facial to suit most skins, its signature treatment packs a punch. Designed to thoroughly exfoliate the skin and to induce the body's healing capabilities, it's a great treatment for skin rejuvenation.

The facial begins with an in depth consultation and skin analysis to assess the skin type, any conditions and client's concerns. This allows the facialist to set out a treatment plan with aftercare to maximise the results.

The exfoliation consists of a treatment called Dermaplaning. A blade is gently maneuvered around the contours of the face to remove vellus hair (fine peach fuzz) and up to 4 weeks worth of dead skin cells. This pain free action leaves the skin feeling super smooth, features are more defined without the halo of peach fuzz and the skin can absorb up to 80% more of the products applied meaning that they will then be more effective.

The next step of the facial is the soothing Ice Globe massage. The cooling glass globes are gently stroked across the forehead, cheeks, jawline, neck and around the eyes to aid lymphatic drainage. Lymph is the fluid that carries away toxins. As there is no pump action to move the lymph the flow of it can be slow which can lead to puffiness and blotching. This massage will aid the flow of lymph fluid and increase blood circulation helping to break down toxins, speed up healing and reduce swelling.

Following on from this is Microneedling. Tiny sterile needles are rolled over the face to a maximum depth of 1mm. This action produces microscopic pin pricks in the skin to create minute wounds which stimulates the body's healing response. With little to no discomfort this technique encourages the production of collagen which helps to give us that plump, youthful appearance.

From as young as our 20's to 30's our collagen production and cell turnover slows down. This can lead to dull, lacklustre skin and the first signs of lines and wrinkles. With regular treatment, damaged cells are brought to the surface allowing pigmentation to fade over time.

The Million Dollar Facial is the boost that the skin needs for rejuvenation and prevention of premature ageing.

The process would not be nearly so effective if not for the active products that work alongside the physical treatment. The Million Dollar Professional products and the Medi + homecare range are sufficiently effective as to be classed as cosmeceuticals. They work deeper than more superficial brands that you find in the supermarkets, therefore they have better efficacy at targeting your skin concerns.

After the facial the skin is likely to appear flushed or pink as blood circulation has been stimulated and the bodies wound response kicks in. However, there is very little down time with this treatment and you can return to normal life almost immediately, supported with the aftercare of how to treat your skin and maximise your results at home.

Depending on the severity of your skin conditions that you wish to treat, your treatment plan may be anything from 4 - 12 facials spread 4 weekly apart. Your facialist will discuss this with you before undergoing treatment to give you a realistic idea of when to expect results. Some skin conditions can take considerably longer to treat such as pigmentation but this is why it is so important to be using the correct skincare at home where treatment and products work in synergy to get you the results you want.

You should not look at the treatments and skincare routine as a finite solution to your skin concerns but rather a step on your journey to transformation. Every transformation will require maintenance and dedication at home. There will be times where it is necessary to navigate changes in the skin from a variety of sources such as environment or internal, hormonal fluctuations.

Whatever your skin concerns, if you are ready to give your skin the attention it deserves then the Million Dollar Facial System is definitely a worthy journey to take, even where the journey may seem long, there are results all along the way.
